The first person who helped me unveil my love for God and acknowledge His love for me, I met at a gig in a bar. Rough around the edges, outspoken, outgoing, and totally unapologetic in his love for Jesus [and] non-judgmental. I felt free to confess the doubts, fears, and questions that were building a wall between God and me.

He was a wonderful representation of what C3 stands for, and when he told me about this church of his, I was intrigued. I had been trying to find my way back to the faith and there's no doubt in my mind that God put him in my path to show me the way to C3. I asked him, “Can I just sneak in the back and see what its about & then leave without having to meet anyone?" He laughed at me, “Not a chance! C3's not like that."

He was right. The morning I decided to go to C3 I left my old life behind.

Accepting love and help has never been something I'm good at; I tend to do things on my own and have difficulty trusting others to take care of me. But Jesus is trustworthy, He is good, He knows what He's doing, and He meets us where we're at.

Jesus took me to C3 and the community I found there has been an awesome reflection of His purpose. It's a church I feel comfortable inviting others to, knowing that we, C3, do our best to be authentic in our worship and our representation of God's love. It has provided me with purpose and an outlet to love on others in our community.
